Aon, watching over her little bundle of joy, his first day in
our Bangkok apartment, his third day in the world, 10 September
1999.
A background note : my father, Gordon Ivan Fields, passed away
in October 1998 and we wanted to honor my father in the naming
of our son. |

Ivan was born Wednesday, 8 September 1999 at 6:53 a.m. at the
Thai Red Cross hospital, in the heart of Bangkok, patron Her Majesty
Queen Sirikit. The care given was nothing short of first class
at this pre-eminent teaching hospital, even the room and food
were top notch. Total bill for Mom's 3 night stay came to $200.00.
